Hand Hotel, Llangollen

The Hand Hotel has a few reported ghosts. It is not said whether they are all the same person or separate spirits. One ghost has been seen sitting at the organ, while another gives guests the feeling of being followed. One of the ghosts here is thought to be that of a woman who died in childbirth.

  1. Ran an EF trip out of Brooklyn NYC this past Spring 2011-
Stayed at the Hands Hotel with no knowledge of its history and almost immediately, the 70 plus students we were with began reporting an eerie feeling of the hotel being haunted. The atmosphere of the graveyard from some of the room windows view I am sure had something to add to the feeling. But although I tend to ignore these feelings myself, I did notice a strange feeling in the interestingly bended hallways before entering my room--the next morning some of the students and chaperones googled the hotel's name and quickly found out of its haunted past---it made the one overnight stay all that better--it is still a topic of conversation with the students

  2. I slept in the bed nearest the window in room 15, and woke up at 3:30am to see a faint red and black figure flash from the foot of my bed toward the window.

    1. Room 15 was so scary that I had to have the TV on all night to not hear the creepy sounds. I strongly recommend to have the TV on when your staying in this room.
